Senate Tackling Critical Issues Like College Football

With everything going on in the world right now, from North Korea loading it's rocket to launch next week, economic issues across the globe, financial meltdown here in the United States, border issues with Mexico, and others, Senator Orrin Hatch feels this is a pressing matter that demands the attention of the federal government. Really, Senator Hatch? Really? Learn to prioritize and take care of business first. Football can wait!

Obama Holds Staged Townhall Meeting

Well, the President is conducting a Townhall Meeting for some unknown reason, but coupled with the best press conference ever on Tuesday, I suspect it's just a way for him to campaign some more and shore up his falling popularity numbers. Also, the web questions are "shockingly" softball in nature compared to what the reporters asked him (with the exception of Ann Compton's pathetic question). After listening for a while it's a regurgitation of what we heard Tuesday: universal health care, new energy grid, crisis, bad republicans, crisis, regulation, blah blah blah. Maybe this guy on the campaign trail could run for President someday! Oh wait......never mind.

Geithner's Reinventing of the Wheel is Going to Hurt

Our favorite tax cheat, Tim Geithner has publicly stated that capitalism needs to be changed and he's just the man to do it. Well, too bad the boy genius doesn't seem to have a clue to the damage his plans are going to inflict on our economy in the future. He needs to go....too bad Change, Inc. seems determined to keep him there.

John Kerry Adopts "Let Them Eat Cake" Attitude

Well well well. Good old John Kerry at it again. Ready to punish this country at any cost, the man says cap and trade energy policies are good for the country, "even if energy prices increase." Easy for a nitwit with a lot of money to say. But try telling that the people struggling, living check to check that you suppsoedly care so much about. Oh? They aren't....that's right. They aren't financial contributors to the Democratic machine, so to hell with them, right Kerry? I said it before, I'll say it again: John Kerry needs to self-deport to France as soon as possible.

Those Pesky "Undocumented Americans"

So, remember when Harry Reid called illegal immigrants "undocumented Americans?" Well, Nancy Pelosi weighed in on the matter and basically told Immigration and Customs Enforcement that they were "un-American" in pursuing illegal immigrants. Now how great is that? Illegals are "undocumented Americans" and Americans doing their jobs are "un-American."

Now Russia Sensing Weakness?

First China, now Russia. People better start waking up because only in the face of weakness do these specific countries start behaving like this.

The "Hope" of Retribution

Read it. Memorize the figure. And either hunker down and wait it out or stand up and engage. This needs to be confronted NOW!!

Asia's Amped to Blow Up Any Moment Now....

Anyone thinking that it's only the Middle East that is dangerous hasn't been studying the East Asian region this past decade. China's surge to regional and global power status has complicated matters over there, and has created a struggle between itself and the economic giant of Japan. Add into that the tension between Japan and North Korea, and between North and South Korea, and China and Taiwan, and finally between Russia and Japan, and you have all the makings of a tinderbox waiting to burst into flames. Things are further complicated by issues still existing because of World War II and the Cold War, and finally, the United States' involvement in the region. This is is an issue that is growing worse and sending mixed signals to the region by the Obama Administration isn't helping matters. If Japan decides to act in its national interests against North Korean moves, the world may suddenly be forced to do something that its been putting off for 50 years now.

RINO ALERT!!!

Here's a great list. Know the enemy.....know it, face it, and vote it out of office!! These people sabotage all conservative efforts and continually undermine Republican measures. No real surprises here. Just good to keep aware.

Baucus: Time to Expand What's Being Taxed

Well, the alleged brilliance of the new era of "change" continues. Senator Max Baucus (D) from Montana, who is the chair of the Senate Finance Committee (a.k.a. the TAX WRITING committee), thinks it would be really swell to tax health care benefits for employees. Yes....a benefit not currently taxed would be taxed if Baucus had his way. Seems like these "hope and change" so-called bi-partisan Democrats are acting a lot like...like Jimmy Carter Democrats. Tax and spend......tax and spend.

And This Moron is Our Chief Diplomat

Has anyone explained to Hillary what her role is? Seems like no one has. North Korea is famous for saber rattling, and they are doing just that with their upcoming missile test. Hillary's response? Rattle the saber back. Hey braniac! How about doing your job, that being DIPLOMACY!! These Clintons.....

Change and Hypocrisy All Rolled in One

Yesterday the Senate passed the $410 billion Omnibus Spending Bill, loaded with 9,000+ earmarks totalling nearly $15 billion worth. The President campaigned heavily on "hope and change" and promised to clean up the "usual ways in Washington." Part of that promise included vetoing any legislation filled with earmarks. Well, the first test comes with this Omnibus bill, and guess what? Hope and Change plans on signing the bill today. His reason for signing a bill filled with earmarks? It's last year's business. Wow......inspiring! Isn't "change" amazing!?

95% of Americans and the Other 5% Are Screwed

Tax hikes are coming. Be prepared. Oh! And make sure you turn everything off in the house....power bills are about to skyrocket.

Democrats Opening Pandora's Box

Well....the appetite for unwarranted vengeance among Congressional Democrats is insatiable. Here they go, wasting time and taxpayer dollars to try and punish the prior Bush administration. Well, as they say, what's good for the goose....watch for this to become the new norm: new administrations punishing prior ones for partisan and policy disagreements. Love the new Land 'O' Change.

China Sensing Weakness?

An interesting contrast in approaches.....China's spending more, the United States is going to spend less.

Only a matter of time, people. We already owe them more than $730 billion....and they are only growing in power and influence. Time to wake up, everyone.

An Accurate Portrayal of America Today...Written 200 Years Ago

Alexis De Tocqueville's Democracy in America is one of the most famous documents in history regarding the United States. Everyone ought to read it at least once. Well, The Weekly Standard magazine put a short piece from Democracy in America in its latest issue and look at how eerily similar it appears to today's land of Change, Inc.

Government Imposed Retirement Plans Part of Change's Budget

Wow! Part of Change, Inc.'s budget proposal is a mandate on employers to provide 401k accounts to all employees. This was from Treasury Tax Cheat Tim Geithner. Once I get the actual language it'll be posted here. And for those keeping score, that's a federal mandate on a individual's personal retirement fund. Capitalism-0, Socialism-1.

Hey, What's Another $30 Billion?

Hope and Change for AIG.

I'm not sure, but I think the term "money pit" may not be enough in this circumstance.
