Senate Tackling Critical Issues Like College Football

With everything going on in the world right now, from North Korea loading it's rocket to launch next week, economic issues across the globe, financial meltdown here in the United States, border issues with Mexico, and others, Senator Orrin Hatch feels this is a pressing matter that demands the attention of the federal government. Really, Senator Hatch? Really? Learn to prioritize and take care of business first. Football can wait!

Obama Holds Staged Townhall Meeting

Well, the President is conducting a Townhall Meeting for some unknown reason, but coupled with the best press conference ever on Tuesday, I suspect it's just a way for him to campaign some more and shore up his falling popularity numbers. Also, the web questions are "shockingly" softball in nature compared to what the reporters asked him (with the exception of Ann Compton's pathetic question). After listening for a while it's a regurgitation of what we heard Tuesday: universal health care, new energy grid, crisis, bad republicans, crisis, regulation, blah blah blah. Maybe this guy on the campaign trail could run for President someday! Oh wait......never mind.

Geithner's Reinventing of the Wheel is Going to Hurt

Our favorite tax cheat, Tim Geithner has publicly stated that capitalism needs to be changed and he's just the man to do it. Well, too bad the boy genius doesn't seem to have a clue to the damage his plans are going to inflict on our economy in the future. He needs to go....too bad Change, Inc. seems determined to keep him there.

John Kerry Adopts "Let Them Eat Cake" Attitude

Well well well. Good old John Kerry at it again. Ready to punish this country at any cost, the man says cap and trade energy policies are good for the country, "even if energy prices increase." Easy for a nitwit with a lot of money to say. But try telling that the people struggling, living check to check that you suppsoedly care so much about. Oh? They aren't....that's right. They aren't financial contributors to the Democratic machine, so to hell with them, right Kerry? I said it before, I'll say it again: John Kerry needs to self-deport to France as soon as possible.

Those Pesky "Undocumented Americans"

So, remember when Harry Reid called illegal immigrants "undocumented Americans?" Well, Nancy Pelosi weighed in on the matter and basically told Immigration and Customs Enforcement that they were "un-American" in pursuing illegal immigrants. Now how great is that? Illegals are "undocumented Americans" and Americans doing their jobs are "un-American."

Now Russia Sensing Weakness?

First China, now Russia. People better start waking up because only in the face of weakness do these specific countries start behaving like this.

The "Hope" of Retribution

Read it. Memorize the figure. And either hunker down and wait it out or stand up and engage. This needs to be confronted NOW!!

Asia's Amped to Blow Up Any Moment Now....

Anyone thinking that it's only the Middle East that is dangerous hasn't been studying the East Asian region this past decade. China's surge to regional and global power status has complicated matters over there, and has created a struggle between itself and the economic giant of Japan. Add into that the tension between Japan and North Korea, and between North and South Korea, and China and Taiwan, and finally between Russia and Japan, and you have all the makings of a tinderbox waiting to burst into flames. Things are further complicated by issues still existing because of World War II and the Cold War, and finally, the United States' involvement in the region. This is is an issue that is growing worse and sending mixed signals to the region by the Obama Administration isn't helping matters. If Japan decides to act in its national interests against North Korean moves, the world may suddenly be forced to do something that its been putting off for 50 years now.

Here's a great list. Know the enemy.....know it, face it, and vote it out of office!! These people sabotage all conservative efforts and continually undermine Republican measures. No real surprises here. Just good to keep aware.

Baucus: Time to Expand What's Being Taxed

Well, the alleged brilliance of the new era of "change" continues. Senator Max Baucus (D) from Montana, who is the chair of the Senate Finance Committee (a.k.a. the TAX WRITING committee), thinks it would be really swell to tax health care benefits for employees. Yes....a benefit not currently taxed would be taxed if Baucus had his way. Seems like these "hope and change" so-called bi-partisan Democrats are acting a lot Jimmy Carter Democrats. Tax and and spend.

And This Moron is Our Chief Diplomat

Has anyone explained to Hillary what her role is? Seems like no one has. North Korea is famous for saber rattling, and they are doing just that with their upcoming missile test. Hillary's response? Rattle the saber back. Hey braniac! How about doing your job, that being DIPLOMACY!! These Clintons.....

Change and Hypocrisy All Rolled in One

Yesterday the Senate passed the $410 billion Omnibus Spending Bill, loaded with 9,000+ earmarks totalling nearly $15 billion worth. The President campaigned heavily on "hope and change" and promised to clean up the "usual ways in Washington." Part of that promise included vetoing any legislation filled with earmarks. Well, the first test comes with this Omnibus bill, and guess what? Hope and Change plans on signing the bill today. His reason for signing a bill filled with earmarks? It's last year's business. Wow......inspiring! Isn't "change" amazing!?

95% of Americans and the Other 5% Are Screwed

Tax hikes are coming. Be prepared. Oh! And make sure you turn everything off in the house....power bills are about to skyrocket.

Democrats Opening Pandora's Box

Well....the appetite for unwarranted vengeance among Congressional Democrats is insatiable. Here they go, wasting time and taxpayer dollars to try and punish the prior Bush administration. Well, as they say, what's good for the for this to become the new norm: new administrations punishing prior ones for partisan and policy disagreements. Love the new Land 'O' Change.

China Sensing Weakness?

An interesting contrast in approaches.....China's spending more, the United States is going to spend less.

Only a matter of time, people. We already owe them more than $730 billion....and they are only growing in power and influence. Time to wake up, everyone.

An Accurate Portrayal of America Today...Written 200 Years Ago

Alexis De Tocqueville's Democracy in America is one of the most famous documents in history regarding the United States. Everyone ought to read it at least once. Well, The Weekly Standard magazine put a short piece from Democracy in America in its latest issue and look at how eerily similar it appears to today's land of Change, Inc.

Government Imposed Retirement Plans Part of Change's Budget

Wow! Part of Change, Inc.'s budget proposal is a mandate on employers to provide 401k accounts to all employees. This was from Treasury Tax Cheat Tim Geithner. Once I get the actual language it'll be posted here. And for those keeping score, that's a federal mandate on a individual's personal retirement fund. Capitalism-0, Socialism-1.

Hey, What's Another $30 Billion?

Hope and Change for AIG.

I'm not sure, but I think the term "money pit" may not be enough in this circumstance.

Socialism's Wacky Side Effect? Collective Misery Abound!

If you aren't angry about the President's idea to just bailout those threatened by foreclosure, you ought to be. The plan's a lose-lose for everyone, and is just a way to spread that failure all over the country, which happens to be a key part of socialist garbage. People are starting to finally get it.

And Rick Santelli? He gets it too.

Stamps Go Up, Service Goes Down, and This Clown Gets a Pay Raise

An $80,000 pay raise? Really? Is the Postmaster General really doing that good of a job that he deserved a pay raise? According to our beloved Congress, he is. Oh! And look at the bonus he got as well. That's right...a bonus. So for CEOs to make tons of money and bonuses when their companies are failing it's wrong, but for some bureaucrat it's okay?

What Kind of Jerk Attacks a Teenager?

So this jerk, Ron Kuby, had nothing better to do today when the economy's in the tank, when there are clearly bigger issues on the table.....he had nothing better to do than spend 20 minutes tearing apart a 17 year old girl. Bristol Palin was on Greta Van Susteren last night, talking about being a mom and other things and these idiots ripped her apart for her interview. A kid. They launched their attacks on a 17 year old kid. THIS is what the government wants to force onto our radio stations with the so-called "Fairness Doctrine?" Pathetic.

Who's Who

In light of recent madness spilling out of the socialists in Congress (read: Democrats), and an emerging resurgence of conservatism among Republicans, it might be a good time to point out some of the good, solid Republicans that are doing the right thing in Congress. People need to know who these people are and when they do the right thing, please contact them and let them know they are doing the right thing and that they have the support of the people.

In the House of Representatives:
John Boehner (Ohio - House Minority Leader)
Mike Pence (Indiana - House GOP Conference Leader)
Dean Heller (Nevada)
Eric Cantor (Virginia - House Minority Whip)
Virginia Foxx (North Carolina)
David Dreier (California)

In the Senate:
Jim DeMint (South Carolina)
Tom Coburn (Oklahoma)
Mike Enzi (Wyoming)
John Kyl (Arizona - Senate Minority Whip)

As you see.....the list in the Senate is shorter due to the wishy-washy nature of the Republicans there. And besides knowing who is good, it's also important to know who is awful and needs to go. The following Republican Senators are often subject to voting with the Democrats and are not good representatives of conservative values and either need to go in the next election, or need sever rehabilitation:

Susan Collins (Maine)
Olympia Snowe (Maine)
Arlen Specter (Pennsylvania)
John McCain (Arizona)
Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)
Orin Hatch (Utah)
Richard Lugar (Indiana)

When the above screw up and blow it, CONTACT THEM!!! They need to be held to task and when they fail, they need to be told. When they continually (Snowe, Specter, Collins) fail, then efforts need to be made to dislodge these knuckleheads from their positions in their next primary elections. Know the players and have a greater impact on contacting the right people. Get involved everyone.....or else we'll all wake up one day and the country won't be the same.

Aren't Government Limits on Free Speech Fun?

All right! That march toward some twisted socialist/fascist state is coming sooner than expected, courtesy of jealous, pathetic liberals like Chuck Schumer and Debbie Stabenow.

See here.

And to address Tom HArkin's call for "more liberals on the air," I would suggest he listen to idiots like Bill Press, Randi Rhodes, or Ed Schultz if he thinks for some reason they aren't there. What Harkin's complaint doesn't seem to recognize is the demand from the market on.....oh wait....maybe he does and this is just another pillar of the system they'd love to tear down. These liberals have gone completely insane.

Every Liberal Idiot Needs to Watch This

Phil Donahue, criticizing free market capitalism and being intellectually destroyed by economist Milton Friedman. This video is brilliant.

Oh, and About That Commerce Secretary Gig....

Oops. Guess the march toward socialism just didn't sit too well with the Republican Senator.

Obama: "I Won, So Americans Need to Suck Up This Stimulus"

The arrogance is now in full force. To quote President Change, in response to critics of the stimulus pushing for more tax cuts and reducing the spending: "I reject those theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change."'
Wow. Guess that means we just have to eat this bill and all the pork lined within. Guess that means that the millions who voted against him don't matter, either. The ego of this's really unbelievable.

Because More Americans Need to Know About This Stimulus

For every few idiots, there are some good ones. Senator Tom Coburn is fighting this pitiful and poorly named 'stimulus' package tooth and nail and he has my support. He put an excellent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that ought to be on the front page of every newspaper in the country. Also, his website has a laundry list of the earmarks within the bill that ought to trouble EVERYONE! Just scroll down and read some of the for the Homeland Security Department Headquarters.....that creates thousands of jobs. Oh....wait. On second thought, it really doesn't.

Pelosi Doubles US Population in an Second!

Brainius Maximus. This woman, Nancy Pelosi, must be one of the least intelligent "leaders" in this country. In a split second she doubles the population of this country and then ensures that everyone, even infants have jobs that we will eventually lose. Pathetic.

Hope and Change That Al Qaeda Can Believe In

Amazing....Pelosi's crew hard at work again. It's like a convict trying to escape prison with a shovel, and the guard taking the shovel to help him get away. Amazing.

No Earmark For You, Hollywood!

YES!!! The Senate just passed the "Coburn Amendment" to that awful stimulus package, which struck a $246 million tax break to Hollywood, of all places. This kickback to these idiots in Hollywood just got defeated and is no longer in the bill. One, so many to go.

Russ Feingold: Hypocrisy in Action

Well, who would have thought?! What a miracle!! The Democrats want to change the rules when it won't benefit them!!? Unbelievable. Senator Russ Feingold (D) wants to change the rules mid-game. When the 'wonderfully qualified' Senator Clinton was appointed Secretary of State, nobody blinked an eye as the unelected Governor Patterson appointed a Democrat to take her place in the Senate. Well, now that Senator Judd Gregg (R) has been appointed to be the Commerce Secretary, Senator Feingold thinks that if the New Hampshire Governor appoints a Republican to take Gregg's's "alarmingly undemocratic?" What kind of backward logic is that??! So it's great for the Dems/Socialists (let's just call them for what they are now) and it's undemocratic for Republicans? The hypocrisy is just overflowing here.

All Right! Squash Tournaments Sponsored by Taxpayers!! UPDATE: Wells Fargo Trip Funded By You!

As if this pathetic wait, I mean uber-earmark, wasn't bad enough, look at this!!

I have about HAD IT!!

Unbelievable. Is anyone else ready to do something about this garbage?

Senate Republicans Need a Swift Kick

Last week the House of Representatives took a vote on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and 177 Republicans and 11 Democrats voted against that horrible spend-fest that Pelosi practically wrote all by herself. The House Republicans were unanimous in their statement against the bill and while it still passed, their statement was heard loud and clear. NO. MORE. WASTEFUL. SPENDING.

But, sadly, the bill now sits in the Senate, waiting for debate later this week. And that is where the problem truly lies. The Senate Republicans are a softer bunch, and tend to wobble more easily than their House counterparts. One would think that getting 177 people to agree would be more difficult than getting 41 people to agree, but of course, this is not the case. House Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor seem to have a better grasp of leadership than Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell does. This is a problem. Weak-willed Republicans like Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe from Maine, Arlen Specter, or Lindsey Graham pose the threat that they might vote for this giant earmark. Mitch McConnell has shown poor leadership already in 2009 and this bill is not the time for him to continue the trend. Contact your Senators, especially those Republicans that need a little...'inspiration', and let them know why this thing needs to be defeated. No revisions, no compromises...this thing needs to simply go away. If all Republicans vote 'no' then this bill dies. Show some spine Republicans.....kill this thing and get it over with.

The Clinton Free Ride, er....Confirmation

Well, happy days are here again! The world's all right and everyone can just have a big group hug. If you are listening to the farce that is Hillary Clinton's confirmation hearing then you've probably heard the same kumbaya garbage I have:

1) According to John Kerry we need to have ambassadors and embassies in places like Syria and Iran! I suppose that opens up places like Cuba and North Korea, too right?
2) Listening to Hillary, she's talking growing the State Department budget, expanding other agencies and basically expanding the federal government.
3) Why is Hillary, the potential Secretary of the State, talking about troop withdrawals and military issues in Iraq? She needs to stay in her lane and leave the military business to Gates.
4) Russ Feingold is a joke. He "had some questions regarding Bill Clinton's foundation but he would simply submit those questions to the record" rather than ask them out loud in public!

This whole hearing is a joke, and it's still going. Just a dog and pony show to make the public feel like the confirmation panel is doing their job. Why don't they just let her go and set up a game of Scrabble with Hugo Chavez because that's what she sounds like she's going to be doing with all of our enemies. Hooray for 'SMART POWER!'

What a joke.

That Original Bailout Keeps Changing

Remember that magical bailout.....the one for Wall Street? $700 billion. That figure ought to remind everyone WHICH bailout I am talking about. Well, seems like Team Obama's shifting gears for the second $350 billion, I mean, the other half of that bailout. Seems Wall Street won't be the only recipients. Towns, small businesses, homeowners, and consumers! WOW!! Seems like a great idea....but wait.....wasn't that money reserved for banking and the financial sector for loans and such? Then why move that money around? And Obama's economic genius wants to establish government ownership into businesses and firms that get these funds. Good times for all. Oh! And you know it'll be great when the super-genius Barney Frank's plans are matching Team Change's.

And From on the Mount, President Change Issued the Decree...and the People Got Their TV

It's been a busy day! This will hopefully be the last for today but I guess President Change wants to delay the Digital TV changeover coming next month because not everyone has the precious government-issued coupon to help pay for the converter box. In fact the coupons are out and the agency in charge of issuing them is asking for a ridiculous bailout. My question is, why delay the changeover? These people without the oh-so-wonderful coupon....don't they have the money? The converter boxes are between $40 and $80. The public has had three years of warning time for this. So why in the world couldn't these people in need of the heavenly coupon have done something smart like....hmmm, I don't know.....saved for the converter box?! Let's say they had three years' notice. At $80 (the max price) for the box, they could have saved a whopping $2.25 a month for the five years and still had about 60 cents left over afterward to buy a soda. A COUPON???? COME ON PEOPLE!!!

Said It Before: McConnell's Spineless and Needs to Go!

Senator Mitch McConnell's a wreck and leading the Republicans right over the cliff with him.

Feburary 16th: The Day We Sell Off Our Children's Futures

Wheee!! House Speaker Pelosi, and her band of hooligan Democrats, pledged to get the almighty stimulus package back to President Change by February 16th. That's the day we can all log into the history books when we dumped $1 trillion into roads and sidewalks and got nothing in return. Oh! And make sure over breakfast that day to tell you kids "you're welcome" because of the giant package of garbage that we are setting up for them to pay for in about 10 years. Good times all, and it'll only get better after January 20th! Yippeee!!!

PS- Michelle Malkin has named this non-stimulating stimulus package the best by far: The Generational Theft Act of 2009.

Hope and Change, people. Hope and Change.

Liberal Bias Against Israel? SHOCKING!!!!

It is not unthinkable to see the liberal media bias against Israel's current action against Hamas terrorist thugs in the Gaza Strip. I just saw this headline, which somehow implies that Israel randomly killed a truck driver for the UN and that there were NUMEROUS schools attacked by the Israeli army. Well, read through it and see that it was the same solitary school building that was attacked and only the briefest of mentions of the fact that Hamas idiots were using the school building as a launch site for rockets and mortar attacks on Israeli sites. Never mind that the truck driver death was an accident. Never mind that Hamas uses human shields such as schools and hospitals and mosques from which to launch their THOUSANDS of rocket attacks. Nope. Not important to the almighty MSNBC (leftist arm of the media machine and unofficial spokesman of President Change). Nope.....all they care about are the multiple school attacks and innocent UN worker deaths. And shockingly, the UN blames Israel! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Really? The UN blamed Israel?? What next? Keith Olbermann will slam Bush and worship Obama? Unbelievable. your research on the Israel/Hamas relationship. The headlines will mislead you, but once you do your homework, you'll see that Israel is using high restraint in its actions and that Hamas is a terror group plain and simple. Terror groups elected to office are still terror groups. And Lebanon (I mean, Hezbollah)....they are just asking to get flattened. And I welcome it.

Will the Real GOP Stand Up?

Enough! Mitch McConnell has got to be one of the weakest Republicans to ever hold a leadership position in the US Senate. The fact that he's considering having Republicans support Obama's absurd "stimulus" plan shows his willingness to just buy into the Socialist crap that seems to be growing at an insane rate since those magical November election results. I've HAD IT! If the Republicans just roll over and embrace this then I guess I'll just grab my copy of the Communist Manifesto and brush up on calling my friends 'comrade' instead. %^&$!!! some backbone for pete's sake!!
